Wicklow Wolf Brewing Company was originally established in 2014, and started out inside a small bakery in the heart of Bray town. “We started with one pub in Bray, and we’re now in about 200 pubs nationwide and we’re pretty much in every off-license in the country” explains Quincey Fennelly, CEO and Co-Founder of Wicklow Wolf.
According to Quincey, one of the biggest challenges that he faced in the early days of Wicklow Wolf was having to “be a jack of all trades” by managing the company’s sales, marketing, production, and administration. With the recent and rapid growth of Wicklow Wolf, however, Quincey has been able to employ experts to take over those areas of the business.
Regarding smart collaboration, Quincey claims that “it’s really important to be surrounded by really good brands that complement your own brand”. He goes on to explain that Wicklow Wolf has “done several collaborations over the past few years, and it’s really important to us because we’re part of a wider community of producers of quality food and quality drink”. Some of Wicklow Wolf’s collaborations in recent years include Java Republic coffee company, Mr Jeffares fruit company and Kissmeyer brewing company.
In terms of what the future holds for Wicklow Wolf, they are currently in the process of undergoing an “extensive expansion phase”. The business has recently been granted planning permission to build a brand new state of the art brewery just outside of Bray which will allow them to enhance their brewing capabilities and help them take their business to the next level.
